Event Booking & Contracts
All catering and event services are subject to a separate event agreement or contract between Root & Stem and the client.
Event dates are not considered reserved until:
- A signed contract has been received, and
- Any required deposit or retainer has been paid
Pricing, menu selections, staffing, rentals, timelines, and event details are governed by the terms outlined in the individual client agreement.
Payments
Payment schedules, deposits, and final balances will be outlined within each event contract.
Late payments may be subject to additional fees. Root & Stem reserves the right to suspend or cancel services for unpaid balances.
Accepted payment methods may include ACH transfer, check, or major credit card unless otherwise specified.
Cancellations & Changes
Cancellation policies, guest count deadlines, and change requests are governed by the signed event agreement.
Because catering and event production involve advance purchasing, staffing, and scheduling commitments, certain payments may be non-refundable.
We will always do our best to accommodate reasonable event changes when possible.
Menus & Availability
Menus and seasonal offerings are subject to change based on ingredient availability, market conditions, and seasonality.
While we strive to accommodate dietary preferences and allergy requests, Root & Stem cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Clients are responsible for communicating guest dietary restrictions in advance.
Alcohol Service
Alcohol service is subject to all applicable local and state laws. Guests consuming alcohol must be of legal drinking age.
Root & Stem reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any individual who appears intoxicated or poses a safety concern.
Photography & Marketing
Root & Stem may photograph or document events for marketing, portfolio, website, and social media use unless otherwise requested in writing by the client prior to the event.
Professional photography captured by third parties remains the property of the respective photographer unless otherwise agreed.
